This zangra hook is called Babette. Made from porcelain, it is easy to attach with two screws. This versatile wall hook can hold coats, hand towels or bath towels.

Do not use an electric screwdriver

Do not use electric screwdrivers when installing porcelain components. We recommend drilling a hole in the wall first, inserting suitable wall plugs and tightening the screws with a manual screwdriver. Take particular care when tightening the screws for the final time.

What is the best height for a coat hook?

The bottom of the hook should be approximately 170–175 cm above the floor. Hooks for children should be fitted at around 120 cm. Since everyone is a different height, the ideal mounting height can vary considerably between households. If your family members are tall, you can mount the hook at least five centimetres higher; if they are shorter, position it five centimetres lower. If you have children or family members of different heights, we recommend installing several hooks at different heights. You can then move the children's hooks as they grow.

How do you install a wall hook?

First, choose a suitable position. Hold the hook against the wall and mark the drilling position with a pencil. When drilling, it helps to hold a vacuum cleaner below the hole to collect the dust before it falls onto the floor. Remember to vacuum inside the drilled hole as well. Insert suitable wall plugs so that the hook can be securely attached and support the weight of your belongings. The type of wall plug depends on the wall material: plasterboard, brick and concrete require different fixings. Using the wrong wall plugs may cause the hook to come loose and damage the wall.

Once the correct wall plugs are in place, position the hook against the wall and screw it into place.
