Description
Vintage style for today
Dreaming of a bathroom straight out of the 1960s? Choose zangra's collection of colourful retro porcelain! Alongside classic white, zangra offers two characteristic retro colours across a wide range of bathroom accessories and lighting.
Choose powder pink, retro green or classic white to give your bathroom a distinctive character.
How high should a toilet roll holder be installed?
You can, of course, position your toilet roll holder wherever suits you. zangra recommends installing it at a height of 75 to 95 cm. Ideally, the distance between the centre of the toilet and the centre of the holder should be about 45 cm, or approximately 10 cm from the toilet bowl. Always position the toilet roll to the left or right, preferably not directly in front of you.
Tips and ideas for a retro bathroom
Thoughtful use of colour is key to creating a retro bathroom. Consider shades such as mint green and vintage pink, which pair beautifully with plenty of white. Avoid overly intense colours that could disrupt the retro feel.
Clawfoot baths and freestanding washbasins with traditional taps are essential features of bathrooms from bygone days.
A porcelain shelf between the washbasin and mirror is a great way to complete the retro look. Use it to display retro bathroom accessories and an attractive porcelain toothbrush cup.
When choosing bathroom accessories, focus on details that add a nostalgic touch without a large expense. Consider a porcelain toilet roll holder, a toilet brush holder, a vintage mirror and a porcelain towel holder.
The right lighting is essential for creating a retro atmosphere. Position a ceiling light in the centre of the bathroom ceiling. Add lighting on both sides of the mirror to illuminate your face evenly. Choose porcelain light fittings in subtle white or retro shades such as pink or green.
These tips will help you create a stylish, functional bathroom with a retro feel.
Do not use an electric screwdriver
Do not use an electric screwdriver when installing porcelain components. We recommend first drilling a hole in the wall, inserting suitable wall plugs and tightening the screws with a manual screwdriver. Take particular care when tightening the screws for the final time.
