Description
“Which object am I most proud of? It would have to be the switch from 1968,” said Achille Castiglioni, who designed it with his brother Pier Giacomo. “Can you believe it? We are now in everyone's home.” The legendary 450, originally made by VLM in Buccinasco, was created more than fifty years ago by one of the great figures of Italian design, a winner of nine Golden Compass awards.
Produced more than 25 million times, this small object and its distinctive click have become familiar to generations. Reaching along the soft texture of a fabric-covered cable in the dark, finding the switch by touch and sliding it almost instinctively brings together everyday familiarity and the pleasure of good design.
WARNING: This single-pole slide switch is compatible only with twisted textile cables in the Creative-Cables range. It is not compatible with round cables.
Manufacturer: Creative-Cables.
