Wireless lamps are an increasingly popular solution that can be found in homes (and not only!) all over the world. Nothing unusual. Such light sources are comfortable and as easy to use as traditional ones. Finally, when arranging home lighting, we are not limited by the location of power sockets, and the cable does not get tangled on the floor. Learn more about portable light luminaries in our article!
How do wireless lamps work?
Most wireless light luminaries use electricity stored in batteries. You can charge such a lamp using an inductive charger or a USB charger.
The second option is battery-powered lighting. In this case, after the batteries are exhausted, we can recharge them or replace them with new ones. Of course, we recommend the first option :)
The last type of power supply are solar lamps, which operate thanks to built-in photovoltaic cells. Incident light rays are collected in small batteries, which release the stored energy in the form of light after dark. Solar luminaires do not require additional charging or battery replacement, which makes them one of the more ecological lighting solutions. Solar lamps are best used in the garden or on the terrace, where access to sunlight is greatest.
Advantages of wireless lighting
As we mentioned at the beginning, the main advantage of wireless lamps is their mobility, and therefore, great freedom of arrangement. Finally, you will set such a light source according to your vision of the decor. More importantly, if you need additional illumination of the place where you are working or reading, you can move the lamp to where you want in a few seconds.
Another advantage of wireless fixtures is ease of use. Lamps of this type may have a switch built into the base or are activated by a remote control. More and more models allow control via an application. Thanks to this, you can turn the light on or off or adjust its power remotely. Connecting such a lamp does not require any additional skills or work. All this means that this type of lighting will make everyday life easier for people with mobility limitations or seniors.
Increasingly, wireless lamps can perform many functions. One of the most common options is the ability to charge a smartphone or other compatible device. Some lighting models also have a built-in Bluetooth speaker. Therefore, in addition to light, they will also flow... music!
It is worth mentioning that most wireless lamps have an integrated LED panel. They use less electricity and last longer, so they are more environmentally and wallet-friendly.
Overview of wireless lamps
You already know that wireless lighting is a useful thing! Now it's time for some designer lamp proposals from this category.
The UMAGE brand offers two models of wireless fixtures - Asteria Move and Orbit. The first one is a wireless table lamp charged via USB-C from the Asteria collection. Thanks to this, you can create a coherent interior design by choosing luminaires from this collection as central and complementary lighting. Asteria Move has 4 lighting levels - from 5 to 100 lumens. The luminaire illuminates for up to 168 hours on one charge (using the first lighting level). Lamps from this collection are available in several color variants, so you can easily choose a shade that matches the decor of your apartment.
The portable Orbit lamp is inspired by the Moon's journey around the Earth. It is light and comfortable, and thanks to the attached handle, you can easily take the lamp with you, e.g. on a picnic. The fixture has 3 light modes - 2700K - 50 lm, 4000K - 50lm and 6000K - 50lm. Just tilt the lamp to change the light mode to the next one. One full charge is enough for 20 hours of use. You can then easily charge the fixture by placing it on the included Unifier wireless charger or connecting it to the USB-C port with a cable.
The Creative-Cables brand, known for its unique solutions, designed the Cableless01 system. Portable lamps from this series are characterized by a wooden conical base. Fixtures from this collection are also charged with a cable with a USB-C input. The advantage of Cableless01 lamps is the dimming option. Use the button to select 1 of 3 brightness levels. Both the bulb and the battery are replaceable, so the lighting will last for many years. On average, the lamp operates for 12 hours on one charge. The collection includes as many as 6 base colors, which means you will quickly find "the one".
