It's only the beginning of autumn, and yet we already know what colors will dominate in spring and summer 2023. During New York Fashion Week, the Pantone Fashion Color Trend report was unveiled, showcasing a palette of the trendiest colors for the upcoming year. Among them are 15 shades, with 5 of them being referred to as "new classics." What colors will be on-trend? You will find out after reading the text, and in the meantime, you will also get to know the lamps that will bring a spring-like atmosphere into your interior even now.
Spring in optimistic colors
Every season, the Pantone Color Institute publishes a report on color trends. This year, the shades deemed the trendiest were selected based on those most frequently used by designers. The chosen colors are intended to reflect the transition into a new post-pandemic reality. Among the 15 shades, there are both vibrant and saturated hues, as well as more subdued ones. The Institute encourages experimentation and the combination of contrasting colors inspired by nature. Optimistic colors in unconventional pairings are meant to inspire a sense of freedom and joy in fashion.
The colors of the 2023 season
Beetroot Purple, or "Buraczkowa fuksja" in Polish, won't be limited to just salads this coming spring. This color is making a big entrance into the world of fashion and design. This stimulating shade looks fantastic in a minimalist style, as seen in the fixtures by the Zangra brand. The clean lines of their wall sconces and ceiling lamps resonate well with the bold color palette. Their portfolio also features simple and modern lighting in other trending colors. But we'll get to that in a moment!
Fiery red is an energizing color. It ignites the imagination and is ready to conquer even the shyest interiors. This color works gracefully in modern forms, like those offered by the Zangra brand or in the Loft line from Kolorowe Kable. For those who enjoy a touch of retro-futurism, we recommend the wild lampshades from the Kafti brand. For those who are more conservative, we suggest incorporating fiery red in the details, just like in the Longis lamp by Kaspa, where the contrasting braided cord steals all the attention.
The color of juicy tangerine will stay with us beyond the upcoming Christmas holidays. The shade Tangelo fills us with courage and a desire to take action. It's not afraid of pink or yellow, so it's worth experimenting with it. It blends well with fixtures of simple design, which will complement vintage or eclectic-style arrangements.
It's not the end of colors in fruity flavors. The warm shade of Peach Pink is more subdued and delicate than the ones discussed earlier. The color is reminiscent of a Bellini cocktail and rose gold. Lighting with a touch of peach is available from the Kaspa and Auhilon brands. The Botanica model serves as both a lampshade and a cover for a plant pot. The combination of peachy pink with green creates a stimulating cocktail within the interior. On the other hand, the Alikante fixture gracefully introduces Peach Pink into modern mid-century-style spaces.
Empire Yellow, also known as "Cesarska żółć" in Polish, is a burst of sunshine even on a cloudy day. The shade evokes a walk through a field of blooming sunflowers. Cheerful and slightly playful, that's what arrangements featuring Empire Yellow are like. This color also enjoys the company of simple forms, making it a perfect fit for minimalist Scandinavian style or the slightly wild Memphis style. But that's not all! Empire Yellow fixtures are available in various variations on the market. The geometric Loft Bala lamp, the table lamp with a shade called Sawa, the metal pendant Swing – each of them tailored to different needs and tastes.
Crystal Rose is a shade for lovers of cotton candy and pink brass. In arrangements, it's like a chameleon. It can be elegant, flirtatious, and even with a wink. In nature, it's close to a slightly pinkish brass hue. And it is in this form that it most commonly appears in lighting. It takes on a raw, industrial character when paired with concrete, for example in designs by the Loft You brand. When showcased solo, it intrigues in such diverse fixtures as Clava, Moon, and Syntax.
When it comes to spring, it's all about... green! In the upcoming season, we have Classic Green, when it's fresh, grassy, and soothing. In interiors, it isn't afraid of contrasts and uniqueness. However, as befits an intense color, it's best to opt for objects with a minimalist form. In the case of classic green, the brand leading the way is Zangra, which transforms the color in every possible way :)
The mysteriously sounding Love Bird is the second green of the season. This time, it's in a more exotic version. It has the potential to shine in both a boho jungle and interiors inspired by the 80s. In this color option, we recommend lamps such as Botanica and Swing.
Blue Perennial is a blue reminiscent of a cornflower meadow. It soothes and calms, making it perfect, for example, for a bedroom. It's worth testing it in bold combinations, such as with Fiery Red or Peach Pink. In this color palette, the Matuba, Belcanto, and Work lamps will perform exceptionally well.
What color does the Summer song have? It's a gentle blue like the summer sky. Pure and soothing like May mornings. It brings balance and tranquility to interiors. When it comes to lighting, we rely on Konko, Swing, and the porcelain fixtures from the Zangra brand.
New classics spring/summer 2023
The "new classics" feature pastel colors that complement each other beautifully. There's the light watery shade of Skylight, the Vanilla pink of Vanilla Cream, the muted lilac of Gray Lilac, the color of dried herbs in Leek Green, and the aromatic coffee hue of Macchiato.
The whole color palette is very versatile. The subdued nature of the colors makes them easy to adapt in boho or japandi style arrangements. In this color range, we also have a few lighting aces - the light blue Merida, the coffee-colored Flex wall sconce, the Andy desk lamp, the lilac Praga, and the olive-toned Lora table lamp with a shade.
