This vintage design takes its inspiration from the traditional 1920s schoolhouse lamps. With their clean, utilitarian lines and practical light-diffusing shades, hard-working schoolhouse lights were a popular choice anywhere good task and ambient light was needed. Today, schoolhouse-style fixtures are still appreciated for their timeless good looks and are a sure way to add retro flair to kitchens, baths, and other light-starved areas of the house.

The glass shades are crafted by the glass blowers of a traditional European glass factory. Once the glass has been blown into its final shape, by means of a blowpipe and iron moulds, it is placed into an annealing oven, controlling its cooling down to prevent any cracking.

Brass is an alloy mainly composed of zinc and copper. It is a material that has always been appreciated for its malleability, strength and its color close to gold.
Over the years, the original glossy surface tends to oxidize naturally in contact with air, leaving a layer of green color called verdigris.

The kit includes screws that are used to attach the bracket to the lamp.
The screws used to attach the bracket to the ceiling / wall are not included as the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, drywall, wood)
